&lt;p&gt;Honolulu ??€&quot; Senator Dan Akaka and his fellow Democratic candidates rallied together in support of the Democratic vote at the Akaka in 2006 Ohana Rally last night. About 200 supporters enjoyed an intimate gathering of good food, entertainment and fun at Noelani Elementary School.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Honolulu ??€&quot; The Citizens of Tax Justice (CTJ) recently presented Senator Dan Akaka with the ??€œTaxpayers??€™ Friend??€ ? Award for receiving a perfect score on his Congressional Tax Report Card. Senator Akaka was one of only 19 in the U.S. Senate, and among 157 of 535 members of Congress to receive this award.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;??€œI am honored to be recognized for my votes against tax cuts for the very rich,??€ ? said Senator Akaka. ??€œOur country is suffering from increasing federal debt. &lt;p&gt;HONOLULU ??€&quot; More than 1,000 people showed their support for Senator Dan Akaka today at McKinley High School for the Akaka Family Day celebration. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&quot;I was overwhelmed by the support and aloha from everyone who attended,&quot; said Senator Akaka. &quot;I wanted to have an event where people could bring their ohana and have a good time.&quot; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The event was free and open to the public and featured performances by Sean Na&#039;auao, Kapena, Krush, Danny Couch, the Akaka Ohana and Brickwood Galuteria. The festivities also included keiki inflatables, games, crafts, prizes and other family activities. Community organizations such as the Hawaii Governemnt Employees&#039; Association (HGEA), International Longshore &amp;amp; Warehouse Union (ILWU), United Public Workers (UPW), Lawyers for Akaka and Progressive Democrats of Hawaii (PDH) also hosted booths with information and games for keiki. &lt;/p&gt;
