Your endorsed Candidates for Primary Election

U.S. Senator Daniel Akaka heads the list of candidates endorsed for the 2006 primary election.
"It is critical that we reelect Senator Akaka," said Richard H.K. Onishi, Unit 13 director and chair of the HGEA political action committee.
"With world events like the Iraq War and national events like Republican tax policies favoring the rich, Hawaii??€˜s workers and their families need Senator Akaka??€™s proven leadership and experience. We cannot afford to lose his wisdom at this turning point in history.
"I urge all HGEA members to select the Democratic ballot in the primary election and vote for Senator Akaka. And get your family to vote for him, too."
Onishi pointed out that although HGEA is open on the Democratic candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, it does not mean that the union is not busy on this important race.
"We are gearing up for a tough general election to defeat Governor Lingle," Onishi sad. "We will pit our grassroots strengths against her $6 million publicity machine. If we all stick together, we can put a friend in Washington Place."
