Dear Senator Akaka:

I write on behalf of the 35,000 members of the National Association of Postal Supervisors to proudly endorse your reelection to the United States Senate.

For thirty years, you have tirelessly worked to represent the interests of Hawaii and the nation. For those of us who have had the honor of working with you, we know the boundless energy and dedication you continue to bring to that task and the distinguished service you daily render.

We especially are appreciative of your active leadership, as a member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, in bringing the United States Postal Service into the twenty-first century through the drafting of pending legislation that will overhaul the Postal Service and improve service for Hawaii and the nation. You indeed are a trusted and valuable champion of public service and public servants.
