AKAKA GAINS SUPPORT OF THE SEAFARERS INTERNATIONAL UNION

HONOLULU ??€" The Seafarers International Union Port of Honolulu endorsed Senator Akaka in his re-election bid to the U.S Senate. The Union applauded Senator Akaka for his significant contributions to the American maritime industry.

WORLD??€™S LARGEST POSTAL UNION ENDORSES SENATOR AKAKA

HONOLULU ??€" The American Postal Workers Union (APWU), has endorsed Senator Akaka in his re-election to the U.S. Senate.

MAINLAND PAC SPENDS MORE THAN $600,000 FOR ED CASE
Unprecedented Amount Spent on Advertising

HONOLULU??€"In its latest email, Ed Case??€™s campaign urged voters to ??€œfollow the money,??€ ? and drew attention to the funds contributed by Political Action Committees to Senator Akaka??€™s re-election campaign. What Case??€™s email didn??€™t say is that his campaign has been the beneficiary of over $600,000 in ??€œindependent??€ ? expenditures by the mainland-based National Association of Realtors Political Action Committee. This amount is more than the entire $597,575 raised by the Case campaign through the end of June 2006. According to http://politicalmoneyline.com , the Realtors have paid $385,000 to Mainland-based Fenn Communications Group for television ads and $216,417 to Terris Barnes & Walters for a direct mail campaign in favor of the Case campaign.
